Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, is a quirky romance that will have you thinking.
Directors: Aradhana Sah and Amit Joshi
Cast: Rajesh Kumar, Rakesh Bedi, Dimple Kapadia, Kriti Sanon, and Shahid Kapoor
It's entertaining to witness Shahid Kapoor return to a romantic part and Kriti Sanon master the robot character in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. But it will undoubtedly cause you to wonder if this is the direction AI is taking—that is, taking over our lives. Will we readily choose to live with custom-built robots that we program to perform our desired tasks?
Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence (AI), which is the future. But how safe will AI be? To find out, you'll have to watch Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. A total comedy bonanza and Kriti Sanon's portrayal of robot Sifra is too good to be true. However, there are a lot of unanswered questions when you are in a relationship with a robot and you give her all the instructions and she performs them exactly as you want.
Amit Joshi is the film's writer and director. Veteran performers like Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, and Anubha Fatehpurla are there with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and they've all done an amazing job. More than Shahid, in my opinion, Kriti deserves more credit for her flawless performance and role. Her unique demeanor really gets you thinking. Despite the fact that she is quite human, you can tell that something is horribly wrong with her. However, there is still uncertainty about whether this is a mass-market film. The film is ahead of its time, but what really sets it apart is how accessible it is.
The movie begins when Aryan (Shahid Kapoor), a compulsive bachelor and robotic engineer, travels to the United States to see his aunt (Dimple Kapadia), the CEO of a robotics business. Aryan develops feelings for her aunt's housekeeper. What occurs when Kriti Sanon's character, Sifra, the housekeeper, is revealed to be a robot?
The film has an exquisite visual aesthetic, showcasing exquisite homes in New York, Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities. Everyone in the movie, even Dharmendra, who plays Shahid Kapoor's grandfather, and Mausiji (Dimple Kapadia), is immaculately attired. Extremely nicely decorated wedding and engagement sequences, with careful attention to even the smallest elements in the style, costumes, and sets.
The main actors alone do not generate the funny mood that makes the movie worth seeing. The entire family does. Even when Sanon adopts an unpleasant demeanor, her robotic facial expressions remain spot-on. Shahid Kapoor, on the other hand, ought to play more multi-layered parts and romantic hero roles as he has done in this one. This individual stands out since he is a very gifted artisan who can blend in with a variety of personas. It's entertaining to watch Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya once.
